Latvian Language Institute invites you to the International Scientific Conference “ENDZELĪNS. VALODA. LAIKS” to commemorate the 150th anniversary of academician Jānis Endzelīns. Conference will be held at the University of Latvia on February 22–23, 2023.
This conference will be special as we will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Jānis Endzelīns, an anniversary that has been included in the UNESCO calendar of international commemorations. To honor Jānis Endzelīns and his scientific contributions, we invite you to submit paper topics that address an area of research relevant to his work (grammar, onomastics, dialectology, historical linguistics, Indo-European studies, language culture) or his life. Please submit an application form and an abstract of your presentation (2500–3000 characters with spaces) before December 23, 2022 online.
The notification of acceptance/rejection will be sent by January 10, 2023.
Working languages: Latvian, Lithuanian, English, German.
Duration of presentation: 20 minutes (15 minutes for presenting, 5 minutes for discussion).

After positive peer-review, articles based on the presentations will be published in “Linguistica Lettica” (indexed in Scopus), the journal of the Latvian Langugage Institute of the University of Latvia.
